  I really wanted to help you but i cant… lol though there is some tips to get high alexa rankings, and wondering if you guys already know about it…

  Theres some script also for improving alexa rankings, you can use it those… Try “alexa autosurf” Or go to cafe, give them some money to owner and ask whether they can install firefox and those plugins too ( mostly they wont, alexa toolbar on IE since its detects always spyware, so try with firefox )

  Try this Firefox extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/115 in your office, while you have alexa toolbar also and leave your pc, lappy for refreshing there whole day…

  ehh why don’t you start a proxy page within your domain name and promotes in your nearby colleges ? while you do, remember make a link for that proxy page like “http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?http://www.rubeina.com/2008/03/the-alexa-challenge” from home page or whatever so people can click alexa link not real one link

  Scott, advertisers give Alexa importance since so far it’s the only tool they can rely on to get a brief idea of a website’s traffic. No wonder why websites that belongs to webmasters have very good alexa ranking, they are the ones who have the Alexa toolbar, most “normal” internet users don’t have it.

  Am quite impressed about a mauritian blog with a good alexa ranking ..wow .. chapo a toi ma fille kip it up .. .

  If anyone wants to knw how i managed to get so many visitors for a 5 month old website ,leave your comment here .. i may write a complete article about how i did that ..
  n yeh btw ,alexa toolbar is not a spyware ..it’s a trackware ..so it’s not dangerous as much as windows vista !(with all its stupid functions to collect data from your pc and send it to Grand Father bill Gates
