How Not to Forget your Ideas

By rubeina

Every human being is constantly thinking and most of the things on our mind now we will probably forget in a few hours.  I never use to take note of things to do and all, I always trusted my mind who in the end betrays me, I can’t blame it afterall it’s just a human mind not a computer. (and someone use to call me stupid, so maybe my mind is just filled up with junk and no place left for important stuffs) :D kidding

notepad

Since a few weeks I am carrying my notepad and my pen, I know my handwriting is really bad, it was not so cool few years ago but now it’s almost unreadable for some people but anyway as long as I understand what I write it’s ok.  Having my notepad with me helped me in different ways, now my 30 minutes in the bus don’t go wasted (though it’s not easy to write haha) and I can make a list of things I will do in the evening or note down the cool ideas that goes through my mind.  Sometimes it feels weird when I read again what I noted down a few days ago but now I know I won’t completely forget what cool stuffs I thought of, I can still work on it later.  You can try keeping a notepad with you too if you are not already doing it, it really helps. :)

Oh, I forgot to add, doesn’t mean you absolutely need to write down on paper, you can still use whatever other gadgets you have to keep your notes, I found it tiring to add notes on my phone (takes too much time) and also writing on paper can help me improve my handwriting. ;)

Horaayy..there are 5 comments for me so far ;)

I always have a notepad with me but I use it mainly to write down some random poetry or possible posts or to draw whatever stuff comes to my mind! :D I think I’ll start making a list of all that I have to do as well. Sometimes I forget and I sit down staring blankly at my screen trying to remember what is it that I had to do! hihi

This is a good idea. I use to do the same thing. But the problem is that I end up with lots of notebooks and pieces of paper, since I forgot to bring them with me.

I also forget the most important thing, to look at them later. My table is full with all sort of paper that mirror my ideas. I also uses my Palm to do same task, but the result is quite the same.

Ah good to know that everyone is already doing it, seems like am sharing an outdated tip :D

Vincent, I use to note on all pieces of paper I could find lying on my table before, sometime important things, I won’t do that again. But with the notepad, am mostly planning my evening or writing down whatever idea comes to my mind e.g. something that can inspire me for a post.
